Proxy
If you have already read the page on "Temporary Internet Files" you will
see that sometimes you load pages from your hard drive and not from the
internet. Unfortunately it gets worse, your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
also uses a cache, and this is called a Proxy Cache, or Proxy Server.
When you visit a site, your ISP will save it to their hard drive, so the
next time you ask for that page (If there are no changes) it loads from
their hard drive. Cheat Cheat Cheat !
This is very bad, because your ISP may not load the new page for
sometime, however you can usually force an update, and get a fresh copy of
the page, just use Control (Ctrl) F5 to refresh the page.
If you empty your Temporary Internet Files, your ISP may still be loading
the old stuff from their hard drive.
