Internet Zones
Now
this is where you can change things without upsetting your general site
visiting settings. Internet Explorer has "Zones"
If you look at the bottom right of your browser, you will see the type of
zone you are visiting, by default this shows the "Internet" zone

You can change settings in each zone, so for example you could set
JavaScript off or prompt in your internet zone, while leave it on in your
"Trusted Zone"
You can then add sites to your trusted zone, knowing that your default
settings wont change.
Just select the "Trusted Sites" Icon, then click the Sites Button, you
can then add a site to its list. This is not fool proof, as some sites load
things from other zones, this site for example loads a page from Google,
which may not be in the same zone, so would show a warning of mixed zones..
