Cookies

I love cookies, especially chocolate ones, however internet cookies are not something you eat. A Cookies is just a small text file, that is saved on your PC's hard drive. What they contain varies from site to site, some sites store your visit, so the next time you visit they know its you, while other sites may also store your browser type, your screen size and more.

Your personal details cannot be automatically stored in a cookie, you would need to type the information in first. This main site here does not use any cookies, however our forum uses a cookie to store your "Username" and "Password" so the next time you visit your are automatically logged in.

If you block cookies in the forum, you wont be able to use it properly, as it will loop asking you to login every time you try to do something. Cookies are stored on your PC, in Windows XP they can be viewed at the following location.

C:\Documents and Settings\Yourname\Cookies (Yourname is the name you gave your PC)

Open one up in notepad, and see that they are harmless text files
