Lymphoma treatment Today Is Friday 10th April 2009
I'm
told by this very large hospital that they will do tests, ultrasound scans and a
lot more, then charge me £800, at this moment I have already had tests done by
my regular vet, but these people will ignore this and start again. Then I'm told
that Scamp will have chemotherapy, just like my regular vet would have done, but
this large hospital charges £250 per session, while the regular vet charges £102
per session. So even the best cant do anything better than a local vet.
I'm told that Scamp will need 4 sessions a month, and blood tests(£25) every 2 weeks. So the first 2 months its £916 for the 8 X £102 + blood tests. Then I'm told this will then change to sessions every 2 weeks, then every 3 weeks, then every month.
After 12 months, the cancer will be gone right? No it wont, apart from there being no guarantee that it will work at all, apart from the fact he might die within a few months anyway, apart from him becoming very unwell, there is no cure, and the most you can expect is a delay.
The object of chemotherapy is to slow the growth of cancer down, try and hold it at bay, try and stop it spreading rapidly, but there is no cure, don't kid yourself into believing we have modern medicines in 2009, we don't
