Lymphoma search for help, Today Is Friday 10th April 2009

Scamp, you taking another photo of me dadI searched and searched, contacted many vets, found the best animal hospital in the country too. Contacted the organisations like the RSPCA, PDSA and a hundred animal charities, asking what can be done, and can they help. But you know as well as I do, if an animal has cancer, there is no cure.

The large animal hospital may have bigger and more expensive machines, they may have more staff, and you can guarantee they will charge you a hell of a lot more, but in the end, they don't do anything that a normal vet can do, and unless you feel better by spending more money, they should be avoided.

If your regular vet don't give the treatment, ask them who does, you will find one in the end, just as I did. Then be prepared for a lot of well meaning people, who really don't offer any help at all. They will never give you a straight answer, and will always tell you about the worse scenario, and the best, all of which does not apply to your dog anyway.....

So you decide what to do, then you change your mind, perhaps influenced by the lack of information, perhaps you understand the problem more. I know I have thought differently with every new thing I read.
