Lymphoma diagnoses, Today Is Friday 10th April 2009

A few weeks ago we discovered a few small lumps on scamp, there were 2 on his left cheek, another on a front leg, and another on his back leg, and a large one near his groin. Believe me when I tell you, they came almost overnight, perhaps 2 days maximum. They were not there a few days previously, because Scamp had a small scratch on his back (Always crawling under something) so as soon as we spotted them we took him to a vet.

These are Lymph node glands, just like our first Bobby had a problem with, Scamp now had the same problem. The vet immediately said it was Lymphoma, even though no tests had been done yet. Then there was lots of delays before a sample was taken and sent off to a laboratory. The sample was not done with a needle, instead Scamp had an operation and several sample were taken from around the body. The large lump in his groin aria was drained as it was full of infection.

A week later the results came back, and we were devastated to learn that it was Lymphoma. Now I've been around this site for the past 11 years, always researching something, including Lymphoma, but you know its all meaningless, I may have missed something, and so I searched and searched for answers, sent out many emails to the big veterinary hospitals, and other smaller vets.
