The UK has changed its Quarantine regulations, The
government recently announced a new scheme which allows dogs and cats to enter
the UK from approved countries without having to go into quarantine, provided
they meet certain conditions as outlined below. The scheme also allows you to
travel to and from countries in Western Europe with your pet.

In September 1998 the government published the report by the
Advisory Group on Quarantine (the AGQ) Quarantine and rabies: a reappraisal.
The Advisory Group was chaired by Professor Ian Kennedy, and is also known as
"the Kennedy Report". It set out the Group's recommendations for a
reform of the U.K. quarantine regulations.
