Dog smelly perfumes.
So you just gave your Westie a good washing, he's looking good.
Perhaps you even used a shampoo with perfume in it?. At the earliest
opportunity you will see your Westie dash to the nearest cow dung, or
cat poo.
Westie's, like most dog breeds just love to roll in smelly things,
while you will find this habit disgusting, your Westie will wonder why
your making so much fuss about it, after all he's just doing what comes
natural.
But what exactly is "What comes natural"?
There has been much research the dog rolling in stinky things theory,
but none can give a truthful and factual answer, as there has been many
millions of years of evolution gone by, dogs ancestors didn't leave a
record of why they did it.
The dog has evolved, with hundreds of different breeds and traits,
the reason why dogs look different, act different has been attributed to
selective breeding, sometimes things are overlooked on the way, only to
show up thousands of years later.
Mans companion animals have come a long way, but there are things
(Instincts) which remain part of the domesticated dog, which simply do
not go away, and no amount of selective breeding in our lifetime will
remove an instinct.
