First Introductions

When you first introduce your Westie puppy into your home they will adopt humans as members of they're family. Your Westie will not think they are dogs at first, treated with respect, they soon learn how to behave. Your family pet will give you an enormous amount of companionship and affection.

When you first bring your Westie home you should restrict it to one room and let it investigate its new environment, but keep it company so it does not become afraid. You should provide water, food , comfortable bed and a chewy toy.

Place some newspaper on the floor to soak up accidents. The first few days you should give it the same food it has previously been fed, and only change to a new diet once the puppy is over the initial excitement of coming into your home.
