Although the Westie is far more civilized than his wild
relatives, he still has the same equipment today.
Adult dogs will have 42 teeth Like us, Westie's will have two sets of
teeth in they're lives. The baby teeth that the puppy is equipped with at
the age of 3 to 6 weeks will start to fall out at about 4 months old.
Puppies do not have the molars, they do not need to grind any food, These
are the last to grow at around six months.
