  • Salmonellosis
    An infection with salmonella bacteria causing, principally, an enteritis.
  • Sarcoptic Mange
    Skin disease caused by the mange mite Sarcoptes scabei.

    A dry or greasy scaling condition of the skin.

  • Sinusitis
    Inflammation of the nasal sinuses caused mainly by infection with bacteria or a fungus.
  • Skeletal Scurvy
    A disease of fast-growing, well-fed puppies of the larger breeds. The cause is probably an imbalance of vitamin C which the dog usually manufactures within its own body. The danger age is around five months.
  • Skinfold Dermatitis
    Inflammation of the skin where it is deeply folded, particularly in the lower lip and around the vulva, resulting from friction between the skin folds and lack of ventilation to the area.

    Inflammation of the vertebrae and spinal joints leading to rigidity of the back.
