It
is important for your Westie to have a ' place of his/her own' somewhere he/she can go to
get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Your Westie may spend most of
his/her time snuggled up on the sofa or under a cupboard, but they still need a place of
they're own.
Beds
come in many designs and are made from a variety of material. Some are more easily cleaned
than others. The soft material beds that do no come with a cover can sometimes be put in
the washing machine, these may have a polystyrene ball filling. Be careful what you use to
wash them with, and avoid softeners that might cause problems with your dogs skin.
The
solid plastic type can be used with a removable soft insert. That can be removed for
washing, leaving the rest that can be washed with a mild disinfectant especially made for
pets. If you have a young Westie he/she might want to tug and rip at the material, so you
may want to use the stronger type until he/she is a bit older.
