In 1946 Anthony E. Pratt a solicitors' clerk from Birmingham and his wife visited the firm of Waddington's Games to present their idea and prototype of a mystery detection game to the game manufacturers. They met and played the game with some Waddington's employees while the firm's managing director looked on.

Fortunately for all of us, the people at Waddington's liked what they saw and agreed to produce the game. Within 3 years it became a family favourite and has been so ever since.

The classic detective board game, can be played with between 3 to 6 of your family and friends.  Colonel Mustard did it with the candlestick in the library. Yes you guessed it, its a murder mystery game. Play detective and solve a dastardly crime in a brand new Cluedo mystery. There's been a murder at Blacwell Grange and it's up to you to crack the case! Who dunnit? Where? And with what? Search the rooms for clues, examine the weapons and discover the identity of the killer!

  • Miss Scarlett
  • Col. Mustard
  • Mrs. White
  • Rev. Green
  • Miss Peacock
  • Professor Plum

You will be dealt some card. (Don't let the other players see these cards!) You can immediately eliminate these characters, rooms and weapons from your investigation.

During the game, move from room to room to make your enquiries. Once inside a room, make a "suggestion" on your turn by calling a character and a weapon into the room. You can then question your fellow players as, one by one, you ask them to reveal if they have a card that matches the room you're in or the character and weapon you've named in your suggestion. Your turn ends when one of these is matched by another player's card. Keep note of your findings and carry on playing.

By clever deduction, you'll eventually be ready to make an accusation.

Will you be first to reveal the answer to the mystery?
