Here's Paul with Fred. This was taken at the
Elvaston Castle Steam Rally in July 2001 when Fred brought his traction
engine along. Paul's brother Andrew took the photo - Fred's comment was "Ay
ya gor us both in lad?" Note Fred's glass of water rather than the customary
pint of ale!
Early last year myself and Paul went to the Derby Assembly Rooms to hear
Fred telling some of his stories about steeple-jacking and steam. A
wonderful memorable evening.
