Each puppy will follow within 30 minuets or so, if a lot more time elapses and you are sure there are still more pups to come, the mother might be straining, a pup may be coming out the wrong way (breach birth) Careful assistance with a well lubricated finger to feel for the puppy and easy it back may help. NEVER attempt to pull out a puppy by force this could cause serious damage. You should have your vets telephone number at hand at all times, and have
discussed with him any possible help you may need when the time comes. |
