Your animals welfare, should at all times be of prime concern. I
have heard horror stories of people visiting breeders to purchase a pup, only to
find the animals in appalling conditions. Cold damp garden sheds, several
breeds of dogs housed in terrible conditions. The list is endless what people
will do to make money without any care for the animals.
Ensure
your "Pet" has a nice warm cozy spot in the house, If you have a bitch
about to have puppies, set up a den for her, well away from drafts, and away
from regular household traffic. Make sure she has warm bedding and plenty of
food and water.
If you hear of any stories, no matter how unlikely
they are, report them to your local animal welfare society. Local councils can
be contacted, RSPCA, ARSPCA can be informed of ANY ill treatment.
