I think this week has been the hardest and most tiring week of all, not only
physically but mentally as well. Bruce has become very aggressive towards the
pups, so we had no alternative but to separate him from them. He even attacked
one of the pups which caused a doggy fight between him and Loulou. It got to the
point Bruce would growl at the pups for just walking past him to use the paper.
After a long family conversation it was decided that it would be best if the
pups went to their new owners a bit earlier than expected. A few phone calls
were made and everything was arranged for the pups to be picked up Wednesday,
8/3/06. Tuesday the pups had their first injections and out of the six only two
of them cried. The vet gave them all a clean bill of health.
We still have one pup left, Princess Snowy, we are a little undecided if were
going to keep her. Some good news, Bruce seems a lot more relaxed and we caught
him sleeping in the same basket as Princess Snowy.
I can honestly say it has been an amazing and enjoyable experience, and yes it
has been exhausting. I don?t know if we have done everything correctly but I
know all pups are thriving and look really healthy. So many people have asked if
we will do it again?to be honest we don?t know...all I know is Loulou and Bruce
need a break and some real time to chill out and catch up on some well deserved
sleep.
