Week three
Well it's been an eventful week. The pups are more active
and can climb out their box so rich made a few adjustments to it so they can
come and go as they please without climbing over the top and bumping themselves.
The new owners of the puppies have been visiting this week. I know the pups will
be very well looked after and loved. It's nice to see the new owners taking
notice of Loulou and Bruce before going anywhere near the pups. Were still
weighing the pups and record their weights on an information chart. Still the
girls are heavier than the boys. All dogs are well and all medication has
finished and stools are back to normal. I have not started weaning the pups as
mum is still content with the pups feeding from her. However I will make a start
next week. This is when the fun begins'so I've been told.
Week four
Where do I begin''.wow it's been busy. We have not stopped all week. Trying to
catch up on cleaning the house, washing, ironing'forget ironing in the same room
as the pups, it's like trying to perform a miracle but funny watching them tug
at duvet covers, wee on them and even pooh. Most of it ended being washed again.
Weaning is going well'the pups are adjusting really well. I did invest in a tin
of Lactol'they love it, so does mum and dad. We have started paper training. I
covered the whole of the kitchen floor with newspaper for the first few days and
have gradually started taken some away. We are constantly saying 'wee wee on
paper and poo poo on paper. The pups are really getting the jest of it as nine
times out of ten they are doing their business on the paper. Loulou has not
stopped eating all week, she got to the point where she was having eight feeds a
day, and I have never seen her with such an appetite. She looks so much
healthier for it and is full of energy. She is definitely back to her normal
self. Bruce is so happy as he is with Loulou all the time, he even helps out
with the pups especially when they play fight. He lets the pups chase him around
the kitchen and even sometimes nibble on his ear.
