One Week To Go
One week to go: We Knew Loulou's due date as I had
actually been there when Loulou and Bruce tied. She was due Friday 13th January
2006. Loulou became a little irritable and just wanted to sleep. Bruce wanted to
sleep with Loulou all the time which made her grumpier. Not realizing at the
time Loulou wanted to get her bed ready for the big day, and wanted Bruce out
the way. In the end we moved Loulou upstairs to the bedroom. She settled really
well and started to prepare her bed. Bruce would sneak upstairs every so often
to see what she was up to. Once he realized he was not missing out on anything
he would come back down stairs.
Tuesday 10th 2006: I had a sleepless night as Loulou spent the whole night
scratching at the carpet underneath my bed. I woke Rich a few times as Loulou
would not go in her bed. She wanted to be under the bed. We put it down to her
feeling too closed in, in her bed. We were all up early as the children were
back to school and pack lunches had to be made, breakfast to prepare. Loulou
came running down the stairs all in a panic, she ran through the living room
into the kitchen and straight to the back door. I let her out and she had a wee
then threw up. I had read that dogs can have a little sickness towards the end
of the pregnancy so tried not to worry. I had a funny feeling that the pups were
going to come pretty soon. Nothing prepared me for what happened next.
