Beach combing

Beach combing is a good way of spicing up what would otherwise be a boring old walk along the sand, especially if you have young children with you. Beach combing is at its best after a good storm when the sea has washed up all sorts of odds and ends.

Beach combing consists of walking along the beach and searching around the high water mark for items washed up by the sea. If an old peace of wood is found, you can always pretend its from the plank of a pirate ship.
