You know it, variety is the "Spice of life" any dog just fed chicken, would be pretty miserable, and would not be as fit as a dog fed a variety of meats. Not only miserable, he/she would have a hard time dealing with some illnesses, developing a strong bone structure. You need to feed your Westie a variety of meats, after all meat is going to be the largest portion of his/her meal. However you must also feed a variety of vegetables, fruit etc to give him/her a balanced meal. As much variety as you can, but taking into consideration your Westie's individual needs, and what he likes and dislikes. There is going to be a small minority of Westie's that have allergies, skin problems, there are NOT many, but you will have to change his/her diet a little to avoid health problems. |
