An important source of energy is carbohydrates, Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen, we obtain most of our carbohydrates from starch. things like potato, rice, spaghetti, yams, bread, cereals, pasta, beans, shredded wheat and oatmeal.

Looking at some of those items, you can see you wont be giving these in large quantities, instead you will be giving a little everyday. Perhaps a small baked potato or some beans, a little pasta.

Give carbohydrates with all the other foods.
